Society for Sight – NGO
Founded in 2008 and officially registered under the Societies Registration Act (XXI of 1860) as amended by the Punjab Amendment Act 1957 (Registration No. 82, dated 23-10-2008), the Society for Sight is a dedicated non-profit organization working tirelessly to reduce the burden of avoidable blindness and improve eye health in communities.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
The Society for Sight is a dedicated social organization committed to eliminating avoidable blindness by providing comprehensive and quality eye care services. It envisions establishing a research institute to advance innovations in eye care and a training center to equip healthcare and managerial professionals with the skills needed to design and implement efficient, sustainable programs.
With a strong focus on equity, the society is devoted to extending accessible and affordable eye care to underprivileged communities. As part of its charter, it ensures that 50% of all surgical services are provided free of cost to economically disadvantaged patients, reflecting its mission to create lasting impact in the fight against needless blindness.
